Captain Azlan Bin Zainal Abidin is a well-known experienced Air Charter Wet Lease (ACMI) Business entrepreneur specifically in Umra & Hajj Air Charter sector. Attended commercial flying course at The Nationwide Aviation Space Academy (NASA), Cessnock, Australia, and obtained the Senior Commercial Pilot Licence (SPL, Aus.) in 1975. He then obtained the Air Transport Pilot Licence (APPL, UK), whilst completing his Diploma Air Transport Management Certificate internally conducted at Malaysia Airlines in 1978. After attaining the flying license, Captain Azlan Zainal Abidin was a certified commercial airline pilot with extensive experience extending over 40 years with more than 24,000 flying hours logged. Started his early career with Malaysia Airlines System (MAS) for 33 years and served the National Carrier as Captain of the B747-400 aircraft fleet. His aviation certifications cover a large scale of aircraft types including variants of B747-400, B737-200/400/500, DC10-30, AIRBUS A300-
B4/A320 and variants of Gulfstream 450/550.

He flew the Gulf Stream G450 for Resort World Berhad for a year and obtained FAA License rated on G450/G550 at Savannah, Georgia, USA. Then he was based In Pudong, Shanghai, China to operate Great Wall Airline for Cargo / Freighter operation. In August 2011, Captain Azlan became the Founder of Eaglexpress Air Charter Sdn Bhd and successfully spearheaded Malaysia’s First Umra & Hajj Air Charter Wet Lease (ACMI) in the ASEAN region. His aviation company successfully commenced Air Charter Wet Lease (ACMI) contract operations with Saudia Airlines with three (3) Boeing 747-400 aircrafts, one Boeing aircraft for Flynas in August 2012 and another one unit with Biman Bangladesh, thus successfully tapping from profitable markets with a nett remittance of reaching USD160million (RM640million) of foreign currency into Malaysia by 2016.
