Hj. Abdul Rashid is a successful engineer with over 47 years of experience in aviation engineering and airline operations. He is part of the management team that managed to bring in substantial revenue to the airline through third-party activities which resulted in MAS MRO (Maintenance, Repair & Overhaul) being acclaimed as the number 1 MRO in the world. Haji Abd Rashid Sharif is a Licensed Aircraft Engineer by profession. He is also a Member of the Chartered Institute of Transport (UK) and further attained the Masters in Business Administration (MBA) from the National University of Malaysia (UKM). He started his career at MAS (Malaysia Airline System) in 1972 for 40 years and later retired in 2012. After retiring, he later joined Eaglexpress Air Charter doing Hajj & Umra for 4 years and left the company for early retirement in 2015 to pursue other things. After a year, Eaglexpress Air Charter called him back to lead a new management team in the company in 2016. After a year with Eaglexpress Air Charter, Haji Abdul Rashid decided to part ways with Eaglexpress and join D’viation Solutions as a Director of Government & Industry Relations. In 2020, he moved to embark as a consultant with WAU Air as the COO (Chief Operating Officer) in the company.
